The owners of this narrow terraced house in Smithfield Conservation Area asked for a discreet roof extension which had to be invisible from the street as it was adjacent to a Grade II listed pub. The existing hipped roof was removed and a new independent structural floor installed to support a glass-walled extension with panoramic views over Smithfield market to the west.
