We have recently been commissioned to remodel an existing 44 room hotel into a luxury serviced apartment hotel in Earls Court, South West London. The project involves completely replanning the internal layout into a mix of studio, 1 and 2 bedroom furnished apartments; that will feature sliding walls and cupboards to allow them to reconfigured by the occupier creating flexibility for people staying for extended periods. We are proposing the car park at the rear of the building will house a new annex building of purpose built rooms, facing out onto landscaped lightwells with further landscaping to the rear. The annex will achieve high energy efficiency and green roofs, to connect the existing building with the soft landscaped garden. Due to the constraints of the site, the room modules will be timber framed, made off-site and craned into position to reduce the contract period and leading to the building operational as soon as possible.
